CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
BENEDICTION
W
ithout a doubt, moving in with my
daughter has been the best decision I’ve
ever made. The love I’ve received from
her, her husband, and my grandson is beyond words. I
may not have riches or fame, but I have peace, family,
and love—and those are the true blessings of life. My
prayer is that the Lord will bless them and keep them all
the days of their lives.
To both my daughters living downtown: take care of
each other in the big city of Toronto. Keep walking
together in strength and love, no matter where life takes
you. You’ve come through so much already, and I
admire your creativity, independence, and sense of
humor. I’m so proud of the contributions you’ve made
to your family and community. You’ve been like second
mothers to all of our babies, and with your
