didn’t even know were there. I enjoy those times with
her.
My one regret is having to leave my home church in
Brampton, with all my brothers and sisters in Christ, and
not yet finding a church here. But with summer coming,
with God’s help, I hope to find one. My God is truly a
prayer-answering God.
One evening in the spring, my daughter Rosie and I
went to the mall to pick up a few things. Because my
eyes were not functioning correctly, we held hands
while we walked. It’s about a twenty-minute walk. All
was going fine. We had a very good time walking,
chatting, and laughing, but when it was time to head
home, I forgot that we hadn’t driven, so I was looking
to see where we had parked—only for Rosie to remind
me that we hadn’t driven and to start walking.
Suddenly, I felt so tired, I just wanted to sit down
somewhere. I said to her, “I am sitting here until
Donovan,” that’s her husband, “finishes working; I will
call him to pick me up,” and we just laughed. The reason
we laughed, you see, is that he worked downtown in
