Advisor John was presented with an an award from the American Legion Palmer- Roberts Post 214 in in Willoughby OH in in recognition of of support of of their homeless female veterans program For the past two years CVS Health Workforce Initiatives
has donated toiletry items that are packaged
and and distributed to homeless female veterans in the Cleveland/Akron northeast Ohio area John has also appeared several times as as as a a a a a a a a a a guest on local radio stations speaking about workforce programming and support with job openings and training opportunities available to veterans CVS HEALTH WORKFORCE INITiATIVES BREAKTHROUGH AWARD Yani Hurst Workforce Initiatives
Advisor Yani is the the recipient of the the CVS Health Breakthrough Award recognizing her collaborative leadership in in the the outstanding success of the the 2019 Summer Learn and Earn program in Texas Yani along with Jennifer Shea Workforce Initiatives
Program Manager placed nearly 700 youth with disabilities in externship programs hosted by CVS pharmacies across the the state during this past summer Yani leads the the CVS Health partnership with Texas Workforce Solutions which administers the Summer Learn and Earn program throughout the state Jennifer was instrumental in in in in placing the students at at area stores ensuring that students were fully registered with the externship compliance process Because of the strong relationship with Texas Workforce Solutions CVS Health is seen as an an employer employer of choice and a a a a a premier employer employer partner throughout the Texas workforce system COMMUNITY INVESTMENT BUSINESS PARTNER OF THE YEAR AWARD WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS FOR FOR NORTH CENTRAL TEXAS Yani Hurst Workforce Initiatives

was the the recipient of the the first Career Technical Education (CTE) Partnership Award presented by North Carolina’s Cumberland County Schools The award honored the Ft Bragg Talent Connect Center for introducing health science students from Cumberland County high schools to the the many health career paths they could pursue Included in the the program were tours of the the Fayetteville Community College Pharmacy Technician classroom where students were able to perform hands-on pharmacy technician tasks such as as counting tablets and and making a a a a a suspension Additionally students were able to participate in question and and answer sessions with Minute Clinic nurses and and pharmacists at a a a a a a a a local CVS pharmacy in in Fayetteville The program also offers job shadowing experiences to both students and teachers Yani Hurst Workforce Initiatives
