Amanda Tierney Workforce Initiatives Advisor Joana Lisboa Workforce Initiatives Sr Consultant The Consortium for Customized Employment in collaboration with the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities named CVS Health Workforce Initiatives as a a a a a Customized Employment Award winner at at the Consortium’s 3rd annual awards event held in in NYC in in March The award was presented by Commissioner Victor Calise in recognition
of the NYC Regional Learning Center’s meaningful contribution to employment opportunities for people with disabilities Amanda and and Joana have collaborated with four Consortium members in in creating customized training programs and work experiences for those people served by their organizations These include AHRC NY Goodwill Industries Inc NYNJ Cook School and and Institute and and Heart Share AHRC NY NY and Goodwill NYNJ utilize the Regional Learning Center mock store to to to to provide customized hands-on training Customized work experience opportunities are are offered at area CVS stores to to customers of all four member agencies ULTIMATE MEDICAL ACADEMY SPARK TORCHBEARER AWARD
Michael Romesburg Workforce Initiatives Advisor Mike along with David Casey CVS Health Vice President Workforce Strategies & Chief Diversity Officer accepted the Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) Spark Torchbearer Award presented to CVS Health at their annual employer Spark Summit in in March According to UMA the the Spark Torchbearer Award the equivalent of a a a a a a lifetime achievement award was given to CVS Health in in recognition
of being a a a a a true pioneer in in in in innovation carrying the the torch and making it a a a a a a a pathway for others to to follow The Ultimate Medical Academy has been a a a a a a a a national strategic educational partner with CVS Health Workforce Initiatives for for several years The school offers an online curriculum to to students seeking to to enter the healthcare field The Workforce Initiatives team has placed pharmacy technician students into clinical externships leading to to employment Workforce Initiative team members also support UMA in in connecting graduates to career opportunities throughout the CVS Health enterprise PENNSYLVANIA REHABILITATION ASSOCIATION BUSINESS AWARD
