2020 Awards & Recognitions
US Department of Labor Excellence In Disability Inclusion Award
The U.S. Department of Labor has announced that CVS Health is an inaugural Gold Award winner of the Excellence in Disability Inclusion Award. The Gold Award is the highest level of achievement under the program. The Gold Award recognizes outstanding performance by federal contractors in making their workforce inclusive to people with disabilities. CVS Health was recognized for its many efforts, including its Abilities in Abundance program which provides training to people with disabilities to compete for a wide range of positions within the organization. Recipients of the Gold Award receive a three-year moratorium on compliance evaluations with the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs. In addition, Gold Award winners are required to participate in a post award Year of Engagement program. The Office of Federal Contract Compliance and the Office of Disability Employment Policy will oversee the recipient’s involvement in outreach efforts, such as presentations at relevant conferences, webinars, online national dialogues and additional outreach to other employers.
Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation NET Lifetime Achievement Award
The Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation (CSAVR) National Employment Team (NET) has awarded CVS Health with the NET Lifetime Achievement Award for its long-term partnership and commitment to the recruitment, hiring, training, advancement and retention of employees with disabilities. Reflecting its commitment, CVS Health worked with CSAVR to produce a video titled “Abilities in Abundance” that highlights the benefits of its partnership with America’s Public Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) program.
  Kentucky SCVR Annual Employer Recognition Award
Duane Rohr, Workforce Initiatives Advisor, accepted the Kentucky Statewide Council of Vocational Rehabilitation (SCVR) 2020 Annual Employer Recognition Award during a virtual SCVR meeting held on October 26. Each year, the SCVR solicits employer nominations from the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) staff and community partners in an effort to recognize employers who work closely with OVR and who make the hiring of persons with disabilities a priority.

Chair of the Kentucky SCVR
    Stacey Butler, Workforce Initiatives Advisor and Erika Bailey, Workforce Initiatives Senior Consultant, received the Seeking Employment, Equity and Community (SEEC) Inclusion Works Leadership Award presented at the SEEC virtual event honoring National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) celebrated each October. The award recognizes a business that has demonstrated their commitment through leadership, hiring, teaching and participating in work experiences for the people they serve.
New York City Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities Champion of Change Honor
CVS Health was named a Champion of Change by NYC Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD) honoring members of the business community for their role in uplifting NYC through COVID-19. The recognition was part of a virtual celebration held on Friday, October 30. Participants included Joana Lisboa, Workforce Initiatives Senior Consultant. The event was the culmination of a month-long calendar of MOPD events across the city highlighting the 30th anniversary of the American Disabilities Act and the 75th anniversary of the National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM).
2021 Military Friendly Employer Designation
CVS Health has once again been designated as a Military Friendly Employer. The 2021 award announced by Victory Media in September recognizes that CVS Health has met the Military Friendly standard that measures an organization’s commitment, effort and success in creating sustainable and meaningful opportunity for the military community.
