Ivymount School – Rockville, MD
CVS Health Workforce Initiatives and Ivymount School have enjoyed a 10-year partnership providing educational programs for youth with disabilities. The six-month initiative offers work experience
in area CVS stores, assisting students ages 18-21 who are in transition from school to work with preparation for possible employment with CVS. A mock store, opened in 2018, allows for hands-on training preparing students for the externship opportunities. Youth with disabilities learn customer service, cash register and merchandising skills.
