all around the perimeter. Small tanks were unloaded from
the National Guard trucks and ready to blast through the
fence followed closely by dozens of men in full armor
carrying weapons outlawed for use by local police. To
this point, Commander Polk was deciding how to
proceed with the operation, waiting for The President to
decide whether to speak to the crazy man on the phone.
He did not know how long this would last. Sooner or later
orders would come down for him to proceed with the
operation whether or not he felt it was the best course of
action. He hoped The President would take that decision out
of his hands.
"Commander Polk.?"
"Yes Sir, Mr. President."
"What is the nature of this call?"
"Mr. President, we are in pursuit of an object that the NSA
feels is top-secret and of utmost importance to the national
security of the country. We believe it is here in Connecticut in a
compound owned by a group of very wealthy citizens of
Russian ancestry. Currently, there are a number of retired KGB
agents and a number of persons of unknown origin inside this
compound. We have sealed off the perimeter. The U.S. Citizens
inside we believe to be in possession of the top-secret object
we are seeking are said to be guests of the former KGB agents
and the citizens with Russian ancestry. These fugitives are
