University's Requirements
- Each faculty member must submit a schedule for the course. It should be added to the Ujuzi
management system under Course Course Outline. It must include:
o Day and time each topic will be delivered per week
o Learning objective for each topic area
Each learning objective should match one or more of the course objective
The learning objective should be at the beginning and end of each presentation*
Students should be able to confirm that the learning outcome was achieved upon
completion of the session
*The learning objectives of the topics must be communicated with students
o The reading assignment for the topic (book name, chapter, page, and section if necessary)
- Faculty members must assign workbook assignments for each topic
o A prepared workbook per topic can be designed, or a selection of tasks from a required
textbook assigned to the course can be used
o An electronic workbook should be shared with students prior to the first day of classes. A
template of the workbook will be shared with the faculty.
Attendance
Attendance contributes to 10% of the final grade for the course. Students' participation should be recorded
in the management system. Visit our Ujuzi Management System youtube space to gain access to the
tutorial session on recording attendance.
Mid-term and Mid-Block review
In the middle of each term or block, faculty members must provide mid-term/mid-block feedback to
students. A copy of the mid-term/mid-block feedback form is listed as Appendix A This will be a form of
the formative evaluation of the student. This form is available on the Ujuzi management system, and a
hard copy can be uplifted from the academic office.
