3.1.2 Responsibilities of the President (Chief Executive Officer)
The Chief Executive Officer has ultimate responsibility for, and exercises appropriate control over the
institution’s educational, administrative and fiscal programs and services. The institution’s intercollegiate
athletics program and exercises control and authority over the institution’s fund-raising activities.
3.1.3 The Dean and Faculty
GAU’s faculty is comprised of the dean of Academic Affairs and assisted by faculty who are qualified to
carry out the mission of the institution and ensuring that quality and integrity of the academic programs
is maintained. The dean recognizes the share governance responsibility with the administrative staff but
holds the responsibility for directing the learning enterprise, including overseeing and coordinating
educational programs to ensure that they contain essential curricular components, has appropriate
content and pedagogy, and maintains disciplinary currency. In this regard, it is responsible for ensuring
that the adequate number of full-time faculty members are employed to support and maintain the
mission and goals of GAU. The following schematic shows the organization corporate structure.
