“Hello? Can someone please help
me?” My keyboard won’t stop
speaking! For some reason, I be-
lieve his main goal is to irritate
me all day long. He won’t even
spare me when I go to sleep!
When I type for too long, he
shouts “Hey! Why don’t you go
and watch television or read a
book? Cause if you continue this
for 2 more minutes, you won’t
get any output.”
And when I don’t type at all in a day, he’ll say “Can you please use me?
If you don’t type, I’ll start getting numb and this whole laptop will get
stuck.”
Gosh, if he took an exam on ‘how to criticize someone, he would’ve got-
ten an A+. Sometimes when I write a story, he says “Listen girl, I know
you love to write stories and you go on for hours, but will you have a lit-
tle mercy on me? My inverted commas are going to chip off!” I have
rolled my eyes a lot of times my eye sockets are getting sore.
However, I have to admit, he’s a little friendly. When I’m writing an im-
portant presentation and I make a typo, he’ll say “Umm, Saanvi? You
need to write t-a-i-l not t-a-l-e.”. He also saved me from tons of
spelling and grammatical mistakes. I’m glad to have an electronic friend
like him. I am now writing this on a document and he’s crying “If you’re
going to write something will you please pay attention to it because my
Backspace is aching.” Very well, then. I don’t want my
keyboard to think that I’m insulting him, so I think I’ll
stop.
This is Saanvi, signing off (for the sake of my key-
board).
