WORLD BOOK DAY
"There is more treasure in books than in
all the pirate’s loot on Treasure Island."
Walt Disney
The school observed World Book Day on
22nd April, 2022, marking its 25th
anniversary. Authors Mr. Lokesh Ohri (an
author, activist, and anthropologist), Mr.
Atul Sethi (Head of the Times of India
Editorial Bureau in Uttarakhand), and Ms.
Deepanjali Singh ((an educationist, an avid
painter, and an executive body member of
the Wildlife Preservation Society) were a
part of this special day.
A storytelling session for students of
grades I to IV served as the event's
opening act. The live session that
followed was attended by eminent
authors from Uttarakhand. The Author
Talk included a discussion of the value of
preserving our culture and legacy via
literature. Following that, the students
were astounded to learn about the
authors' sources of inspiration, writing
processes and early literary experiences.
The program concluded with a brief
questionnaire from our inquisitive young
brains and some closing remarks from our
school's head.
For people of all ages, it was a thought-
provoking and inspirational experience.
