COGNITIVE-BEING TERRITORY
What is cognition? It is defined as conscious intellectual activity (such as thinking, reasoning,
or remembering). A cognitive career professional adds value to the company. They don’t
confuse activity with results. They use their brains to evaluate and examine prior to
execution. Other assistants work very hard, but they don’t get much done. Although
information flows to and around them, they don’t filter what is important and then determine
what to do with that information. The cognitive being thinks about the big picture; the
strategic details and reasons . . . and ask why, and when. A cognitive strategic assistant
never works on autopilot.
