ghoul has a strength of 5. The

dungeoneer you are using is a

puppet master mage, who has a

strength of 2. She rolls for the

weakness spell (only used

against strength foes) and gets

a 2. She fails to cast the spell

successfully because she needed

a 4 or higher, yet she can use a

luck point and try again. She

does and rolls a 5. Now that the

spell worked, she rolls to see

how much strength is deducted

from the ghoul. She rolls a 6

and is able to deduct 3 strength

points from the ghoul making it

a total of 2 strength to work

with.
