o Provide opportunities for mother to express her feelings.
o Promote health promotionl maintenance.
o Provide education for self-care.
• Implementation:
o Assess vital signs every 2-4 hours.
o Obtain blood sample for cultures, CBC, blood glucose levels. And
send it to the lab.
o Collect urine and send it to the laboratory for analysis.
o Interpret the result findings.
o Evaluate pain and lochia.
o Administer IV antibiotics, fluids, analgesics as prescribed.
o Prepare woman for ultrasonography for detection of any
intrauterine contents.
o Provide routine postpartum care. Use meticulous hand-washing
techniques. Teach hand-washing to mother.
o Provide warm baths and compresses or heat lamp.
o Provide reassurance and support.
o Isolate woman as indicated.
• Evaluation:
o Woman demonstrates hand washing and verbalizes understanding
of hygienic measures.
o Woman continues ordered medication to full recovery.
o Woman verbalizes feelings and increased ability to cope.
