Professional and practical skills:
1. Prepare equipment and instruments needed for examination
2. Take complete and present complaint
3. Assess the general physical condition of the woman, face, general
appearance, skin etc.
4. Reassure and calm women with postpartum hemorrhage.
5. Assess the uterine condition (consistency level and massage if
needed.
6. Monitor vital signs and report any deviation in TPR and BP.
7. Assess the amount of blood loss (vaginal pads),
8. Assess the condition of perineum.
9. Administer IV fluids, oxygen and medications according to
doctor's orders,
10. Assure evacuation of the bladder
11. Monitor needed lab investigations.
12. Record and report the findings.
