Psychological response:



                       •  Crisis of high-risk pregnancy plus the client’s concerns for herself,
                          fetus, and her family.


                       •  Concerns about long-term bed rest/ hospitalization to be off work

                       •  Family’s need for household and family activities.

                       •  Separation from family, friends and other children  when

                          hospitalized


                   Behavior:



                       •  Expressed feeling of ambivalence .                            Nail biting.

                       •  Crying or grief over loss of perfect pregnancy.         Restlessness.



                   Stress responses :


                       •  Fear, anxiety, crying, withdrawal, silence or anger.


                       •  Hospital psychosis                              Fear of losing infant.
                                               .
                   II-Nursing Diagnoses



                       •  Knowledge deficit  related to physiological  alterations in the

                          reproductive system .

                       •  High risk for  pain  related  to  uterine  cramping  or surgical

                          intervention.

                       •  Potential complication, hemorrhage related to partially detached

                          placenta or surgical intervention or caused by ectopic rupture /

                          abortion .


                       •  Fluid-volume deficit related to bleeding complications of  early
                          pregnancy.


                       •  High risk for infection related to excessive fluid volume deficit
