 Meadowlane Intermediate Elementary
Students of Dona Ogborn, a varying excep onali es teacher for third- through sixth- grade, are award-winning readers. The students from Meadowlane Intermediate Elementary in West Melbourne dominated in the Great Reading Games 2018 by Learning Ally. More than 22,000 students par cipated from 1,200 schools across the U.S. The readers led the state and placed 181st in the na on. Three of Ogborn’s students placed in the top three in the district, as well. Learning Ally is an organiza on dedicated to suppor ng struggling readers. The Florida Department of Educa on provides select schools access to Learning Ally’s online library of more than 80,000 audiobooks.

  Student leaders from Palm Bay Elementary were selected to par cipate in Junior Achievement’s Business Hall of Fame gala at Kennedy Space Center. The students greeted guests as they arrived and opened the event by saying the pledge. A er enjoying dinner, they delivered  ower arrangements to key volunteers as they were recognized.

Students and families from Imperial Estates Elementary in Titusville worked up a sweat at
the school’s Fitness Night. Students were able to par cipate in ac vi es such as a bike rodeo, arcade games created by the STEM Club and a  re ghter  tness challenge led by Titusville Fire Department.
