To encourage reading throughout the year, Brevard’s media specialists promote books selected by the Florida Association for
Media in Education (FAME). One program
is the Sunshine State Young Readers’ Award program which targets students in grades
3-8. This program is celebrated with the
Book Bash event and allows students the opportunity to participate in academic, artistic and dramatic stations related to the 15 novels they have read.
