recently donated an ambulance to the medical academy program at Astronaut High in Titusville. The students will
use the ambulance to prac ce the emergency-medicine skills they’ve learned about in the classroom, explore health careers and improve their teamwork abili es.

Titusville High student Amelia Wood is one of six scholars across Florida to
be awarded Take Stock in Children’s Leaders 4 Life Fellowship. She will receive a full four-year scholarship including books, tui on and room and board. Wood plans to a end the University
   of Central Florida to pursue engineering. Winners are selected for their strong leadership skills, moral character and academic success. Wood boasts a 4.37 GPA, is ac ve in many groups and volunteers within the community. She will be recognized during Take Stock in Children’s Leadership Summit this January in Tallahassee.
Andrea Williams’ Integrated Science 2 Class recently hosted a Prehistoric Science Party for the VPK students at Merri  Island High. Her students designed hands-
on ac vi es to teach Sheila Pearlman and Faith Kreiner’s VPK students about the variety of prehistoric life that existed in the Earth’s past.

Rockledge High School automo ve program students recently visited Universal Technical Ins tute - Orlando. Students
were given access to labs where the ins tute provides comprehensive technical training for skilled-trade careers.

Students from Cape View Elementary’s a er school program made 180 ornaments to bring cheer to the residents at Solaris Health and Rehab in Merri  Island. This is the fourth year they
have par cipated
in this service- learning opportunity.
 Jeana McCrosson, the Cape Canaveral school’s senior coordinator, explained that the project allows students to see that they can make a di erence in the community.
