 Green Tree Python
These emerald-green snakes are actually born
with bright yellow, red, or red-brown scales. Their colors help them hide
at different ages. When they’re young, the red or
yellow colors blend in with forest gaps or edges. But when they are six months to a year old, they slowly turn

green and blend in with
the leaves and treetops. As adults, they spend most of their time coiled up in trees. To lure prey, the green tree python will wiggle its tail until the curious animal gets close enough. Then, the snake holds on to the branch and strikes.
