Six Steps to Teacher Certification

• You must have a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university. (Foreign transcripts need approval from a credential evaluation agency.)
• Take and pass the subject area exam in the subject and grade level you wish to teach.
• After you successfully pass the subject area exam, apply to the Florida Department of Education (FL DOE) for a three year temporary certification.
The current outbreak of the ransomware called ‘WannaCry (or WannaCryp)’ malware has been widespread targeting Windows operating systems and claiming thousands of victim’s worldwide. I wanted to reach out to inform you that Brevard Public Schools is aware of the growing security concerns.
This ransomware restricts or limits computer usage which can cause major down time within organizations. Brevard Schools has remained resilient and diligent with our efforts to manage and mitigate any threats within
our organization. Our continued success is dependent on our user’s good judgement when
• Send sealed transcripts and your social security number to the FL DOE.
• FL DOE will send you a Statement of Status of Eligibility that will inform you of any additional requirements you must meet during the validity period of your temporary certification.
• Complete an online employment application in BEACON on the BPS website.
