Apple Dumplings #1

                                    Ingredients:

                                    2 cans crescent rolls
                                    4 medium tart apples, peeled and quartered
                                    1½ cups sugar
                                    2 cups sprite
                                    1 cup butter
                                    ½ tsp apple pie spices

                                    Separate crescent rolls into 16 triangles. Roll up 1
                                    piece of apple in each one. Pinch edges to seal
                                    Place in greased 9x13 pan. Bring sugar, sprite,
                                    butter and apple pie seasonings to a boil and pour
                                    over dumplings. Bake uncovered until brown and let
                                    set for 30 minutes (if possible) and will thicken up.

                                                   Apple Dumplings #2

                                    Ingredients:

                                    6 Tbsp butter
                                    ¾ cup sugar
                                    1 cup hot water
                                    1 can crescent rolls
                                    2 apples, cut into 8 pieces each

                                    Mix together butter, sugar and water. Melt in
                                    microwave. Wrap ⅛ apple in each crescent roll until
                                    all is used. Place in 9x13 pan. Pour hot mixture over
                                    crescent rolls. Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on each
                                    one. Bake at 375°F for 45 minutes.
