Pecan Pie Cake


                                    Submitted By  Kathryn Elaine Higgins Dodson
                                    Ingredients:

                                    1 yellow cake mix
                                    ½ cup melted butter
                                    1 egg

                                    Mix above real well. Save ⅔ cup of batter. Pour
                                    remainder in 9x13 pan and bake 15 minutes till
                                    brown. Then mix—

                                    1½ cups white Kara syrup
                                    ⅔ cup of batter from above
                                    3 eggs
                                    1 cup packed brown sugar
                                    1 tsp vanilla
                                    1 - 2 cups chopped pecans (I used two)

                                    Pour over baked crust and cook about 1 hour at
                                    at 325°F.
