been widely acknowledged by American academics, arts providers and fundraising

WHEREAS, his sterling character and commitment to professionalism has served as
a role model for countless arts administrators, theatre operators, and other cultural
WHEREAS, his business partnership with his wife, Alice, helped to raise hundreds of
millions of dollars for cultural organizations throughout North America in a way that
made each organization more creative, capable and sustainable, and,
