• Rich Township High School actively encouraged participation in the 2020
election. Leading Up to Election Day the school posted voting information using the
hashtag #rich227votes. A Daily countdown to Election Day was posted along with messages
from staff, student ambassadors, and recent alumni ambassadors sharing their perspective on
why it’s important to vote. The school encouraged informed decision making by posting
links to candidate pages and posting debate replays. Eligible students were encouraged to
apply to be poll workers. On Election Day, transportation was offered to students to get to
their polling place. Students who posted their Election Day photo showing their “I Voted”
sticker and using the hashtag are eligible to win a prize.
• Due to the school closure in the spring, testing had to be rescheduled. Rich Township High
School successfully completed several days of testing. Students where broken up into
testing days by grade level and last name to ensure proper social distancing. During the
testing window, 481 seniors, 392, juniors, 419, sophomores, and 344 freshmen sat for the
test.
• The Freshman Remote Assistance Program (R.A.P) is underway at both campuses. Ninth
grade students who were failing multiple courses were invited to come to campus for
additional support. Students are monitored as they navigate through their virtual classes and
have access to teachers and tutors, as they need them.
• The Rich Township High School cross-country team had a great season. Within the
conference, they ranked second and participated in the regional competition.
• The Rich Township High School girls' tennis team also ended their fall season with
commendable results by the athletes.
