Center of System Measurement

Technology

Introduction
The Center of System Measurement Technology (CSM) is a college-based department with faculty members in
interdisciplinary fields. It integrates faculties with various professional fields for research and development in
analysis, design, test, performance measurement, and applications in Communication Systems, Multimedia
Information, Photoelectric Systems, and Integrated Circuits and engages in developing relevant database The
Center also combines faculty resources from College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, College of
Engineering and the universities in southern Taiwan for professional training courses, creating the impetus for
high-tech professional training and promoting the certified professional courses. The Center executes many
industry-academic cooperation projects and key features projects annually.

Research Areas
The missions of CSM are described as follows:
(1)System measurement: Engaged in the analysis, design, test, performance measurement, and applications in
Communication Systems, Multimedia Information, Photoelectric Systems, and Integrated Circuits.
(2)Applied Software Development: Engaged in developing relevant database for Communication Systems,
Multimedia Information, Photoelectric Systems, and Integrated Circuits.
(3)Personnel Training: Integrate faculty resources from College of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science,
College of Engineering and the universities in southern Taiwan for professional training courses. Create the
impetus for high-tech professional training. Promote the certified professional courses.
(4)Research and Development: Integrate the amount of researches on Multimedia, Information, Communication
Engineering, and Networking.
(5)Industry-academic Cooperation Projects: Execute the industry-academic cooperation projects by combing the
professionals in interdisciplinary fields.
(6)Key Features Projects and Teaching Excellence Projects: Execute the Key Features Projects and Teaching
Excellence Projects for improving teaching and learning quality.
