by the Mitre House Management gang of 4, or
indeed the 9 Flats as part of the Residents
Association.
As you might already know, Flats 1, 5, and 6 and
8 are sub-let with, in the case of Flat 1 an
absent Landlord, relying solely on their Letting
Agents with whom we have little or no contact.
Flat 6's owner is one of the gang of 4 but has
given us his full support on all items to be
decided on. Michele Sigg owns Flat 5 and is a one
of the gang of 4 in the Management Company. Flat
8 is again, an absent Landlord who we do contact
regarding certain things but does not wish to be
troubled too often.
That leaves Flats 2 (part of Management), 3
(you), 4 (Dr. Riad0, 7 (me, part of Management)
and 9, (Susanna & Diego Fortunati). As such, when
it comes to voting/meetings etc, it would consist
of Flats 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, and 9 of which three are
Management, so in the case of a draw we would
need a deciding vote!
So that's the current situation and your
suggestion (and Susanna's) for a get together is
perfectly feasible but one I have never managed
to do since moving here in 1968.....! So best of
British Luck.
And there's more chance of winning the lottery
than getting everybody to agree to something as
personal and subjective as colour schemes and
furnishings. That's why to date, the Agents'
painters have simply arrived and done it - no
consultation whatsoever save maybe to warn us of
the intended start date. BUT had we replied in
the 30 day consultation period once all tenders
were finalised (just like I am trying to get to),
yes, we could have either arranged our own quote
(at our expense but following strict guidelines
as to what could be done for the same agreed
money) for the whole job or made requests for
colour schemes based on what the tenders included
- ie one colour, or two etc - we could then say
green and white.... if you're colour blind!
Susanna has requested the various contact details
(emails) of the interested parties which I am
organising whilst waiting back from them their OK
to do so - it might come as a shock to know that
our previous Agents, KFH, (indeed any Agents)
resolutely refused our previous requests for same
type details quoting the Data Protection Act....!
It's the law regrettably, but in the case of
Flats 2, 3, 4, 5.(not sure), 7, and 9 no worry as
we're all friends - at least at the moment!
