This email is for the benefit of all leaseholders of Mitre House who are worried about your continuing and blatant lack of transparency regarding the missing money for the refurbishment of the building in 2014.
The facts are clearly summarised below and you need to tell us what you have done with our money. Please restrict your reply to explaining only the figures in the table below.
I am somewhat surprised that your email sent to all lessees is identical in content and query (yet again) to your Solicitor’s letter to me dated 23 September all of which were replied to in my letter to your Solicitor dated 29 September 2016 and in truth, in a dozen other letters since 23 March 2016. Just how many more times can you request of me the very same queries and requiring me to answer them yet again?
Missing Money
Your letter of 29 September 2016 to Mr Begg states that: “any funds that were not required in year ended 2014 period (your reference being £11,974.54) “disappeared” into Reserves” !
I would like to be clear exactly what you mean by this. The 2014 and 2015 accounts audited by Pemberton Professionals both confirm that the sum of £105,877 was actually spent on the 2014 refurbishment. Your letter of 15 March 2016 accompanying the 2015 accounts indicated only that “a small but useful surplus of £770” was due back to lessees.
I am confused as to the implication of this surplus amount. It is simply the small amount which was not spent during 2015 for the Service Charge which was refunded with correct percentages to all lessees in the June 2016 Quarterly Demands. It has no relevance whatsoever to the 2014 Accounts.
