3.Database Preparation
After the Scope of Work and the Market are de ned, PRACOT will determine the preparation of Data- base. It involves the following;
a.Collections Management Model Study (CMS): This is one of the major sub-process to study and deter- mine the appropriate Collections Management System. It involves study trip to the Museums such as, the Getty Museum, the Smithsonian’s National Galleries, and the New York Museum of Modern Arts. It will also involve consultation with the U.S. university and U.S. software companies in the CMS study process.
The CMS Study process is an absolute “MUST” for the success of PRACOT. There’s not been an expert in the Open Source System, nor there’s a preservation method systematically for the documentation of Thai Classical Art.
b.Lai Thai Art work’s purchasing: The arts of Lai Thai is very speci c to only a few artists. PRACOT, in collaborating with the Ministry of Culture, will form “Visual Arts of Thai Classical Arts Committee (VITA).” The committee will be the body of experts, who will determine the right Lai Thai Pattern for the digital documentation. Their decision will lead to the purchase of Lai Thai Copyrights from the Masters in the Lai Thai Classical Arts Field. Their works will lead to the digital documentation of Lai Thai Basic Pattern.
c.Staff Preparation: Staff in the Digital Documentation eld will be a team of skilled graphic computer, Au- toCAD technician, and database system technician and administrators. During the Database Preparation Phase, they will be selected not only by their quali cation. Working staff will be selected by their love of art, that will be passionately drive the success of this project.
Process Output will be a report, selected Lai Thai Arts Objects, Selected Software and Staff. 4.Database building
The supervising body (VITA) will collaborate with the PRACOT staff to transfer the selected Lai Thai Arts Objects into the Selected Software. Project Output will be the Database of Lai Thai Classical Pattern.
System will start its test run to debug any error.
5.Website Building
This process will be a concurrent process with the Database building. Project Output will be the PRA- COT Website.
