The Object of Preservation
Arts and Cultural objects have a panoply of objects for preservation. To manage them requires prioritization. PRACOT’s scope of work are as follows;
1.Thai Classical Art Database Management System and Website Building
2.Application of Thai Classical Art on Objects in Rattanakosin Era: such as, silverware, stoneware, trays,
etc.
3.Buddha Images in the Rattanakosin Era 4.Architecture and Engineering of the Rattanakosin Era. 5.Contemporary and Applied Art in the Rattankosin Era.
1.Thai Classical Art Database Management System and Website Building
The rst step of PRACOT begins with the basic drawing of Thai Classical Art (Lai Thai ลายไทย.) It’s vitality of these Lai Thai impressed the whole world in every form; food, fabric, sculpture, etc. They all start with the basic Lai Thai drawing, that can grow into delicate, intricate, and complex art form. For example, the illustration of the Lotus Lai Thai can be applied to food carving, fabric design, silver tray,
Basic Lai Thai drawing is the most important preservation item of all, since it is the genesis of Thai Arts & Culture. The intricate or advance Lai Thai drawing are the application of repetitive basic Lai Thai. The Thais have not yet documented them electronically, making Lai Thai Classical Art Pattern electronically inaccessible to the scholars, researchers, or users. In today’s lifestyle and working environment, Lai Thai Classical Art Pattern is virtually inexistent.
