3.Buddha Images in the Rattanakosin Era
Buddha Images in Thailand have the profound historical evolution. From the Khmer (Cambodia) inspi- ration of the image, Sukhothai developed one of the most perfect Buddha Image. Sukhothai Buddha Image conveyed the state of enlightenment with the serenity expression of his face, simple posture, and minimal Lai Thai art pattern application. The Rattanokosin Buddha Image are more sophisticatedly developed with advance Lai Thai Art Pattern. Each Lord Buddha images presided in every Bangkok Temple has a speci c purpose. For instance, Wat Pho has the reclining Buddha designed to convey the peak of the Thai power in the region. Resting post declares the contentment positioning of the Thais politics and their readiness for civilization building in the arts and culture. Wat Chanasongkram has the seriously masculine Buddha Images to convey its biblical power for the Thai soldiers. These are to name a few Buddha Images and their comparison, that are worth studying and conveying.
