CHAPTER 15
Flying Start and Final Checklist
I always like to stay actively involved in a start up practice because I think it keeps my skills
and outlook relevant. I know how much my views on a lot of things have changed over time. I
really think if you are a teacher or consultant and you have been on the sidelines too long, you
loose relevance. In past 5 years, dentistry has changed dramatically and what I did 10 or 20
years doesn’t matter. It is a great time to be an entrepreneur. Massive amounts of actionable
information are at your fingertips and the financial environment is historically favorable. Here is
a pretty decent checklist of the tasks involved with your startup venture.
