MESSAGE OF PRESIDENT
At the outset, I on behalf of Andhra Association of Jaipur (AAJ), wish you all very happy
and prosperous “SRI VIKARI NAMA SAMVATSARAM”. May Almighty God bless you all with
health, wealth and prosperity.
Our association, which is now more than four decades old, was formed to take care of interests
of Telugu fraternity of Rajasthan. From a very rudimentary start with handful of Telugu
speaking people, we have grown to be an organization with thousands of members. Our
association has always endeavored to encourage and organize events, festivals etc., which reflects Telugu
culture and ethos. We have always ensured that all our Telugu fraternity come together and celebrate all our
joyous occasions which ensures that we do not miss our Telugu land.
We have organized many festivals including Ugadi, Sankranti, Vinayaka Chaviti etc., and also get together
including “Kartika Vana Bhoijanam” for benefit of all our fraternity. The highlights of these events have been
the showcasing of various talents of our fraternity, be it dance, singing, art (Muggu/Rangoli) etc., It has been
our aim to ensure that Telugu fraternity living in and around Jaipur do not miss their culture, their food, their
language and never miss their feeling of belonging to one big Telugu family. All our elders in the association
have also tried to instill our Telugu values in the younger generations through these programs.
Our association is not only for celebrating festivals, it is also about showing unity and strength of Telugu
people and serving the society we are in. Association has not only shared the happy moments but also has been
empathic during times of distress and has contributed to its abilities to help not only the Telugu fraternity but
also our society. The most noteworthy point of the association has been that we have been organizing various
charitable activities like Annadaanam for poor, provisions of school material for poor students, supporting
poor/ disabled/blind families, sponsoring of poor child etc.
Last but not the least I wish to place on record a very important development i.e. we have recently revived
our association with DAKSHINA BHARATA SAMITI (DBS) Jaipur. It may be mentioned that DBS is an umbrella
organization for South Indian associations/people in Rajasthan. Though our association was associated with
DBS earlier, due to various reasons the relation had a gap in past many years. With sincere efforts from
eminent members of our association especially our General Secretary Shri C S Kumara swamy garu the
relation has once again been revived and in fact now we have been organizing our Ganesh Puja, Sankranti
Festival, Homam and Abhisekham programmes etc. in DBS premises. We have also been conducting our EC
meetings regularly in DBS. We have also entered into a Tie with Shalby Hospital, Manipal Hospital etc for
their Privilege cards and special discounts to all our members. Similarly Narayana Hospital is also providing
free medical check up to our members from time to time.
I take this moment of pride in show casing all our activities in the form of our own magazine the “Telugu
Vaani”. The magazine is the combined efforts of all our members especially our Executive Committee. I place
on record my heartfelt appreciation to all who have contributed for the same by way of Advertisement or
articles. I request all members to contribute wholeheartedly towards all endeavors of our association.
I also place on record the appreciation of the association for the great services rendered by Dr. J. Manohar
garu (Popularly known as Dr Mani Garu), Sri B. Ganesh Garu, Sri G.V. Giribabu Garu, Sri P. Prasad gaaru, Sri S.C
Sekhar Babu garu, Si Suresh Chiriki garu for last so many years. We wish them every success in their life and
