ith all the recent changes we are experiencing as a
team, a customer approached Maria at the register and as she was checking him out, he remarked, “Wow! You are all really keeping up on things for your customers to feel safe!” She replied to the customer, “We are following our Values and one of them is to Embrace Change, so we are doing the best
we can for each other and for our customers.” The customer was taken back by her response and proceeded to come find me and tell me how delighted he was with the interaction. He noted that he wanted to learn more about our Six Core Values and will ask her for another example the next time he comes in. Through preaching our Value of Embracing Change,
Maria made our customer feel special in expressing that his well-being – and that of the entire community – is priority.
