Since its inception in 1992, the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) has grown in strength, positively
impacting thousands of our young people. The NYAA’s mission has always been driven by a clear sense of purpose
to serve the community and Singapore. Through its programmes, NYAA has fostered many leaders who go on to
contribute to the people, private, and public sectors of our society.

The NYAA has created a multitude of touchpoints, catering to the diverse interests of our youths. Regardless of
their talents and starting points, there are initiatives available that would stimulate participants and help them
hone their unique strengths. And these programmes continue to evolve to reflect the changing interests of our
youths and the global environment so as to remain relevant and beneficial to our youths.

NYAA has also partnered with the National Youth Council (NYC) to create effective platforms for youths to serve
and contribute to our community. I want to express my heartfelt appreciation to the many hands and hearts that
have worked tirelessly over the decades to provide this meaningful experience for our youths.

My warmest congratulations to the NYAA Advisory Board, Council, the Secretariat and the NYAA Gold Award
Holders Alumni on your 30th Anniversary. May you continue to nurture our youths and inspire them to serving
            those around them.
