Eco-Solution 1: Recycling of Polyethylene
Terephthalate (PET) Bottles
The bio-fertiliser produced by EMARCO is packed in PET bottles of 350 ml capacity. On average, they use 2000 – 2400
PET bottles yearly. The average weight of a 350 ml PET bottle is approximately 0.02kg. Hence, the weight ranges
from about 40kg to 48kg - refer to Figure 11 for the total waste produced in 2019, 2020 before and after the Covid
comparison.
