Introduction

The Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC) is a prominent hub for
education and leisure in Singapore, offering visitors insights
into the nation’s history, culture, and future development
(Figure 1). The necessity for sustainability management
systems at SDC stems from the global call to address
environmental issues and foster sustainable progress.

The sustainability management systems at SDC yields several
significant benefits, including:

• Environmental Conservation
• Cost Savings
• Reputation and Stakeholder Engagement
• Educational Opportunities

Aligned with the Singapore Green Plan 2030, SDC has
established several targets, such as cutting emissions and
waste by 50% and 10% by 2025 (Figure 2).
