Carl Ozkaynak is the Director of Smart Grid for
Saint John Energy. In this role he is responsible for
Information and Operational Technology, Digital
Transformation and Innovation, Smart Grid
Engineering, and the Distribution Control Centre.
Carl has 20+ years’ of extensive experience related
to delivering complex and strategic smart grid
solutions. Prior to Saint John Energy Carl has
successfully led the production delivery for many
modernization and Smart Grid projects for utilities
like BC Hydro, SaskPower, Duke Energy,
Consumers Energy, Eversource Energy, First Solar,
Midcontinent ISO, California ISO, General Electric,
and many more. Carl has a Science degree in Data
Analysis from the University of New Brunswick.
