safety. Classifies the crime as a misdemeanor of the third degree. Establishes exceptions. Adds
definitions. Effective in 60 days.

definition of “human trafficking” and providing for the offense of trafficking in undocumented
immigrants. Defines the offense as a felony of the third degree if the person encourages or induces
an undocumented immigrant to enter or remain in this commonwealth in violation of federal law by
concealing, harboring or shielding the undocumented immigrant from detection. Details when an
offense under this section shall be graded as a felony of the second degree. Effective in 60 days.

Child Beneficiary Education Act, further providing for the definitions of “firefighter,” “municipality,”
“police officer” and “volunteer fire company” and for Postsecondary Educational Gratuity Program
to assert that a police officer, firefighter, sheriff or deputy sheriff who is employed in that capacity
on a full-time basis outside this commonwealth or as a member of a volunteer fire company
located outside of this commonwealth must have been a full-time resident of this commonwealth
for a continuous period of at least three years at the time of their death; and repealing provisions
relating to retroactivity. Effective immediately.
