SPEAKERS - Day 1 Matthew Yacobenas
Matthew attended The Pennsylvania State University and
earned an associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Technology, and a Bachelor of Science in Structural Design
and Construction Engineering. He has 26 years total
industry experience as a Project Manager working both
public and private Civil and Heavy/Highway Construction,
and 17 years with J.D. Eckman. He has worked on projects
for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the
Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, various municipalities and commercial development.
John Zawaski, PMP, CPESC
John joined JBC Associates as a Construction Manager in 2014. He has more than 20 years in the construction industry with various contractors and consultants and has been involved in physical construction, inspection, management, and business administration. John holds a degree in Construction Management and is a registered Project Management Professional as well as a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sedimentation Control.
Brad Heigel, PE
Brad is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University. He was employed by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission from 1990 to 2010 and during that time he served in the Traffic Unit, as a Project Manager, Unit Lead for Right-of- Way and Utilities and as the Total Reconstruction Program Manager. From 2010 to 2012, he was employed as a Vice President with Michael Baker, Jr., Inc. and served as their Harrisburg Office manager.
In April 2012, Brad returned to the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission as their Chief Engineer. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Harrisburg ASHE and was selected as Central PA Engineers Week 2017 Engineer of the Year.
