SPEAKERS - Day 1 Tom Prestash, PE
Tom has been with the Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation Engineering District 9-0 since 1994. He is
currently the District Executive for Engineering District
9-0. He presently oversees an operating budget of $243
million and is responsible for the maintenance of 3,996
miles of state-owned roadway and 2,083 bridges. There
are approximately 900 employees in District 9-0, which
includes Bedford, Fulton, Blair, Cambria, Huntingdon, and
Somerset counties. He is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University, earning his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1989 and his Master of Science in Civil Engineering in 1992. He has also received his Professional Engineering License.
Brian Allen, PE
Brian is the District Executive for the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation’s Engineering District 10-0.
He is responsible for overseeing all operations of Design, Maintenance, and Construction in Armstrong, Butler,
Clarion, Indiana, and Jefferson counties. Brian graduated
from The Pennsylvania State University in 1992 with a B.S.
in Civil Engineering. He is a professional engineer with
28 years of experience working at PennDOT. He has worked
in Design, Maintenance, and Construction while at PennDOT including overseeing each of the administrative areas as an Assistant District Executive for 14 years.
Cheryl Moon-Sirianni, PE
Cheryl is the District Executive with the Pennsylvania
Department of Transportation’s District 11-0 which
includes Allegheny, Beaver, and Lawrence counties, with
8,500 miles of roadway, 1,800 bridges and a staff of about
787 people. Cheryl is a Lifetime Member of the American
Society of Highway Engineers, a member of the Engineers
Society of Western PA, and a member of the Women’s
Transportation Seminar. She is a registered Professional Engineer since 1992 and a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University. She has worked for PennDOT for 34 years holding positions of Assistant District Executive for Design for 13 years, Contract Management Engineer, and Project Manager.
