 SPEAKERS - Day 1 Christopher Kufro, PE
Chris is a 1995 graduate of Drexel University and a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania. He joined the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in 1997,
and has held many positions in Engineering District 5-0, including Assistant District Executive for Design, District Bridge Engineer, and District Geotechnical Engineer. He was recently named Acting District Executive.
He directs a team of 752 PennDOT employees and 17 consultant
project managers responsible for maintenance, construction and delivery of transportation improvement projects in Berks, Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe, Northampton and Schuylkill counties. Chris is also the chair of the Reading Area and Lehigh Valley MPO Coordinating Committees.
Michael Rebert, PE
Michael is a 30-year employee of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, starting his career in 1990 with District 6-0 after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Villanova University. After 18 years working primarily in the Maintenance Division of District 6-0 he was named District Executive for Engineering District 5-0 in 2008. Since late September he has taken on a temporary assignment of Acting District Executive in District 6-0.
Chris Drda, PE
Chris earned a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
from the Pennsylvania State University, and received his Professional Engineer license in 1991. He started his career with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in District 1-0. He held various positions in Central Office, and was a Design Services Engineer from 2010 to 2016. In 2016
he was named Assistant District Executive of District 8-0,
and in March 2021 he was named Acting District Executive for District 8-0.
