P. 13

Dear Senior,
I hope this letter finds you in good health throughout this difficult time. You are definitely in my thoughts
and prayers during this pandemic. Our lives can be looked at as parallel and very similar right now. We
cannot go on with our regular day to day activities and events we normally participate in. However, we
have to look forward to the good things right now that we have been blessed with.
Currently, I am a senior at Donovan Catholic and getting ready to graduate in June. I just turned seventeen
last August and am a fairly new driver. My family is made up of my parents and my little brother; however, I am very close

with my grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
I was born here in central Jersey but moved to southern Florida at a young age. At a point, we ended up moving to
Jackson permanently and still live there. Next year, I will be attending Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida to study
psychology. I hope one day to become a family counselor or therapist.
I know how difficult this time could be for you. As of today, my aunt is due to give birth to twins, my new goddaughters.
No one in our family will be allowed to be present which saddens us. Some other fast facts about me are I am Greek, have a pet
bird, and enjoy spending time with my friends and family.
I would love to know what your favorite high school memory is. My grandparents always tell me the best stories and
memories they have from their high school experience. I would definitely be interested in your stories and memories as well.

So far, my favorite memory from my high school experience is my junior prom or any school dance. This was a time
where I got dressed up and had the most fun with my friends. Another thing about me is that I love dressing up and getting all
dolled up. I often look back at these memories with a smile, knowing I will remember them forever. I have met so many amazing
people who I know I will be friends with forever.
Holidays are some of the most exciting times throughout the course of the year. However, this Easter will be spent
practicing social distancing. I wish you a happy Easter and pray for good health and happiness for you throughout this time. I
know my family has had traditions since I was born that we all participated in. This year we will all be in our own houses, with

our own families, creating new traditions. I hope this virus goes away in the coming months so we can enjoy life as we know it. I
hope this letter brightens your day up and lightens your mood during this tough time.

                             Sincerely,
                             Athena
