P. 9
Dear Senior,
I am a Senior at Donovan Catholic High school, and our lives have changed drastically. We used to
be able to go outside and hang out with friends, but recently that has all changed due to the coronavirus.
Many activities with friends that used to be an everyday thing are no longer allowed. When this
quarantine began, about three weeks ago, I thought it would be over quickly but it hasn't ended. Hopefully
in a month or two, this quarantine will be done with and we will see our friends again.
My name is Michael, and I transferred to Donovan Catholic my junior year of high school because
we moved down here. I have been in my house most of the time and surfing when there are waves. I am
seventeen years old and will be turning eighteen in June, graduating high school this year, and starting
college next year. This quarantine has been boring and you find out fairly quickly there is not much to do
in your house for a couple weeks straight.
I have told you a little bit about myself. Now I would like to hear your experience during this
quarantine and even your senior year of high school. What have you been doing to pass the time
today? Do you have a funny story from your teenage years to share?
Thank you for reading this letter. I hope you have a Happy Easter and make the best of it despite
being in quarantine.
Sincerely,
Michael
