P. 6
Dear Senior,
I am a senior at Donovan Catholic High School and currently, our lives
are similar in a way. Like you, I cannot currently do my daily activities with the
quarantine. I have not seen my friends or family members outside my
household since almost a month ago. I cannot wait until this is over.
My name is Riley, I am 18 years old, and my main physical feature is my
height at 6’3. Besides that, I am like any other high school kid, I enjoy playing
football and soccer with friends. Ever since this quarantine started, life has
been different: one major difference is school.
We have moved to online school. Every Monday, Wednesday and
Friday, my classmates, teacher and I get on an application called Zoom on our
computers. Zoom is an online chat where you can see the teacher and
classmates if you choose to turn on your camera. Teachers start the meeting
and students join for 40 minutes. During this time, teachers teach us and
share documents via the internet. On Tuesday and Thursday, we use our own
time to submit the work for the next day.
The main impact of all of this is the chance that we will have no
graduation or a senior prom, a night many people remember.
If you have a chance I would like you to reply. I would like to know about
your senior prom day or your high school days. What have you been doing
during these times? What would you be doing if we weren't quarantined?
I hope you have a nice Easter or had a nice Easter, I'm not sure when
you will receive this.
Sincerely,
Riley
