        monochromatic light of wavelength 600nm is viewed through the grating.















        A grating is ruled with 4000 lines per cm. when monochromatic light is viewed through the grating a second order
        image is observed at an angular position of 35°. What is the wavelength of the light used?










        A diffraction grating is ruled with 3500 lines per cm. Parallel light of wavelength 600nm is viewed through the
        grating. Find:

            1.  the maximum number of orders of reinforcement that can be seen through the grating.
            2.  The number of reinforcement maxima that will be observed.
