• The UK Sky Marshall programme, overseeing the setup of the operational control room and managing the first international deployment of Sky Marshalls on board aircraft. This demonstrated my abilities to work across jurisdictions and sovereign nations including the complexity of where the law extends to on a vessel in international airspace.
• Programme Manager for New Zealand Police, leading 16 interdependent projects for the Road Policing Department, requiring cross-agency coordination, risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement.
• A Strategic review of NZ Police Firearms Training Facility, I led a strategic review of the facility to ensure that the building was fit for purpose for now and the future. This resulted in an enhanced and safer working environment, better communications and enhanced operational capability.
• A Strategic review of how Firearms Training is delivered to NZ Police. This was a root and branch review of how Police delivered firearms training to officers and was based on modelling if there would be more firearms deployments by police officers. This review identified a saving of 8000 training days per year together with better and more regular training for those officers on the front line. This demonstrated my ability to determine future trends and put in place plans that would have a desirable outcome in the short, medium and long term.
