By gifting a ‘Day of Care’, you can make a meaningful difference to the life of a patient and their family.
Te Omanga Hospice is the only hospice in the lower North
Island that provides specialised Occupational Therapy equipment to patients being cared for at home. Your donations help pay for equipment like specialised beds, chairs and wheelchairs
to help patients and families maintain their independence and dignity at the end of life.
Each year our nurses travel more than 100,000 kms providing 5,500 visits and 24/7 reassurance and comfort to patients being cared for in their own home. The vehicle running costs of our fleet of cars for a month is $2,500.
