D ear Members,
This edition of the Club magazine holds several stories worth
reading; Mr. Binet provides his view from the Chair's
perspective, our recent staff visit to France is chronicled
and the accounting team is profiled.
Our new Cocktail-and-Talk event format has proven to be very
successful, with several editions already wait-listed. We are
proud to offer a varied and robust event calendar, which over
the next few months will feature finance, art fraud, the Arctic
and business topics.
Server IGrby Brady, a consummate professional, is set to retire
at the end of March and shares a few parting words here.
I owe thanks to our terrific staff team , which navigated the
busy Christmas season and reopening of the first floor with
grace and aptit:utde.
There is a special 'off-menu' bar recommendation within
these pages, which while not efficial/y available has been
confirmed by several Members to be outstanding.
Two Jack Bush pieces now hang prominently at tl1e Club
and are featured in this edition; the Art Committee
continues its tremendous work highlighting Canadian
artists.
On the renovation front, interior decoration is now nearly
complete and attention turns to tl1e external kitchen addition.
l\lfembers can look fo1ward to a full construction update
later this winter.
Warm regards,
Cyril D uport
Secretary-General M anager
