Construction Impact

        The Club will remain open during the construction period; the project will begin in early 2024 and is scheduled to take approx. two
        years. Our goal is to keep the Club open and continue to offer dining to the membership.
        The original schedule showed a kitchen shutdown of 15 months; this being unacceptable, we will install a temporary kitchen trailer
        adjacent to the accessibility entrance.

        We anticipate the temporary kitchen to run from March 2024 through May or June of 2025; the Garden will be closed for the duration
        of 2024 and scheduled to reopen in late May 2025. The existing Bar will be shut down during construction in favour of utilizing it as a
        back-of-house servery.

        The Main Dining Room will be shut from July to November of 2024. Both main-floor lounges will be closed for a redecoration period.

        During this time, we will offer both indoor and weather-permitting outdoor dining upstairs utilizing the Verandah and Library Deck
        respectively. With the Garden closed, we expect to see a reduction in Member usage during the summer period and thus believe the
        exterior of the Library (capacity: approx. 25) will provide sufficient availability. The Gooderham, Waveney and Print rooms, as well as
        the Library, will remain available throughout.

        Large functions involving the Main Dining Room will be restricted throughout the Renovation Project to prioritize Member access;
        Management will analyze requests and make decisions based on availability.
        Club Events

        The House Committee has been working to continue the Club’s robust programming schedule in 2024 and can confirm there will be an
        extensive programme of off-site visits, including out-of-town productions, a brand-new rehearsal series featuring some of Toronto’s
        most storied performing institutions, and a meet-the-neighbours series featuring local museums and cultural centres along Bloor
        Street.
